My grandfather is on facebook and friend requested me. What should I do?

I don't want to have to censor myself for my elderly grandfather, for facebook is a place where I feel I can be myself, whereas I can't do that anywhere else online, cause my friends are an open-minded bunch of people. But then again, I can't NOT add him, he's my grandfather! ...then again, no-one in my family knows that I'm gay but all my friends know, cause it's on facebook and I don't want my grandfather to find it...what do I do?! HELP!

That depends on if you are a grown up and doing only mature things on Facebook. I have one niece that did not want her mother as a friend for a long time. now she realized her mother suspected she was doing alot more on there than she was. Grandparents are not judging your every word I would think. I know I am not and my grandchildren have pages and I am a friend to them.
and you can always unfriend him if he becomes too judgmental.
I say at least give him a chance and tell him you like to joke on there. If he is on Facebook he probably has a good sense of humor.

Just ignore it. You can pretend that you didn't notice his request, lol. Anyway, he can't see what you're doing if you're not friends. But, if he befriended your friends then that's another story, lol. That's why, you should not post anything if you want to protect your reputation.
