Answered Conundrum Next Conundrum
The odor from my neighbors apartment is so bad I am embarrassed to invite friends over. What should I or can I do?
I don't want to be insulting to her. She can barely take care of herself. Her apartment is filthy and she smells of urine. I feel sorry for her. Do I just live with the smell?

If it was me, and I had a neighbor that i was helping anyway, I would start cleaning her place one corner at a time. it is radical because who has that much time. i am just suggesting that since you are there anyway to bring her food or to help her in other ways you can tidy up a little and maybe get rid of the smell that is permeating into your apartment. She will probably be very greatful to you for your effort. Once you have it de-smelled, you can ask your church for volunteers to maybe go 1 day a week to help this lady.

Help her.
Contact your local church, contact your local charities!
If she has no family she is going to need neighbors.
We should look after people in distress and not ignore them
Talk to her.
Be a good neighbor and help a soul :)
I think I smell a little selfishness at your place :(

I may have come across the wrong way. I do help her. When ever I cook I take her a meal. I have washed her dishes. When ever she is panicked, I calm her down. I am wondering alone the lines of whether or not it would be appropriate to burn incense in the hall. Should I call agencies and try to get her help. Or, should I just let her be and mind my own business. Maybe, I should have broken this up into several questions. I hope this clarifies and does not confuse my question more.

Contact your landlord, as he or she should deal with this. You may also want to call social services, if you feel she is unable to take care of herself. It sounds as if you've gone above and beyond trying to help her, but this situation seems like it is beyond you.

No you have to stand for your justice , you have to go her apartment and have to slow-talk with her , you don't have to insult her just because of the filthiness , maybe there is a reason behind the smelly odor , besides nobody want to live in a filthy place , maybe you can help with take caring of her , besides what are neighbors are for.If the problem can't be solve yet she too stubborn to listen to your advise nor your action , then you have be strict and the place up......or you will end in a dilemma for a long time
