Three hours at an opera, or viewing Mayan pottery in a museum?

Which would be worse? If you like both of those, tell me what would be your three hours of the most excruciatingly boring and useless waste of time.

The one time I did go to the opera, it was a bunch of men in drab black outfits singing in Russian. I fell asleep! I think I would like the opera if it were a love story.

My idea of the most excrutiatingly boring and useless waste of time is attending a lecture on something I am not interested in, by a boring speaker who doesn't believe in using visual aids. Some insurance courses that I had to take for a former job come to mind. It's horrible because there is nothing to look at like at an opera, and you can't even walk around, like you can at a museum.

Of the two you proposed, I would prefer the museum.

Easy choice: pottery. I love opera. While I don't mind looking at pottery or museums, three hours straight of the same exhibit would be far too long, unless I was some sort of Mayan pottery scholar. (And even then, I suspect the scholar might want a break around the second hour or so!)

I was thinking maybe there was an entire museum of Mayan pottery. I actually hope I am wrong, and If there is, I hope never to be within driving distance. I too would enjoy the opera, but many do not.

The Mayan pottery museum. Opera has seating. An aletrnative would be three hours of answering inane questions such as this!

But here you are answering it voluntarily. Hmmmmm. There must be a lesson there somewhere, but I'm not sure what is is. I'll try to think of a better question, although I can't promise that the next one will be any less inane than this. But I will try. Sorry this one didn't fit the bill for you.
