Today is looking to be another perfect Sunday...hanging out with my best friend (husband) and being terribly grateful for what we have. The weather is amazing, so we can accomplish things during half time in anticipation of the forecast storm. I have a laptop, so I can answer Mahalo/Conundrumland questions during commercials. Our dogs and cats gather on the sofa with us to enjoy petting (cats) or jumping up and down (dogs). Our family and friends are a phone call/email away. The chores are mostly done, so we can sit on our butts and watch football without being uneasy that were neglecting something. Lots of laughter. And it's finally cool enough that I might make chocolate chip cookies.
Life is pretty darned good...hope yours is, too!

I believe that people should be able to spend any day any way they choose. If they choose to attend church, that's fine, but if they choose to work, that's fine too. Not everyone is a Christian, in fact, paganism is the fastest growing segment of the religious population. Not everyone works a 9-5, M-F job either, and they may have no choice in how they spend Sunday.

Sunday is just a day, 24 hours, that is just like any other day to many. To give it special significance is caving in to the Christian majority. Personally, I'm tired of the Religious Right proseletyzing and trying to bully everybody into believing as they do. I'm not a Christian, and today is Sunday. I'm sitting here answering this question, and I'll spend the day relaxing and doing what I want, maybe some gardening, maybe just hanging out online.

It's just a day.

After being busy from monday to saturday, I like to spend sunday alone in solitude if possible, sunday for me is a rest day, doing things that are important to me. Without any distraction from anyone.just doing what i like cooking my favorite food, having silence in my environment and in myself, no pushing or shoving, nobody to please or to argue with. One day in a week all for my self. That way i can get in touch with my self. I really enjoy it.

I agree that people should do their own thing on Sundays. What ever relaxes and recharges them for the coming week. I like to have breakfast with my son and husband, who cooks and does the dishes on Sundays. Then if the weather is permitting we have a cookout later and lounge around in the back yard. Since the weather has turned colder we go bowling in the afternoons.

Sundays are all about food and football for me. I might do a little work here and there, but usually I'll watch the Denver game, eat half of a pizza, and relax with the dog. Nothing much happens on Sundays, but it's the day I look forward to the most.

Well, church in the morning is a good idea. Early afternoon you have to switch channels back and forth between NASCAR and the early football game. Followed by the late afternoon game, and finish the day with Football Night in America on ABC. And I am a girl, Sunday is sports day, it is about the only time I turn on my TV.
