When, if ever, is it acceptable to uninvite a person from a social event?

Personally, never. If I was unsure whether or not to invite someone to an event, I wouldn't invite them to begin with. If something happens between me and someone I've invited to an event, we either get over it by the time the event comes around, or they just don't show up. I don't ever make the first move of uninviting them, I'm just not that kind of person.

Exactly right good answer potterarchy! You shouldn't be that kind of person, and if you did uninvite them, you might find that they let others in your social circle know about the "un-invitation". Your mistake, should you have made one, and what you learn from it, will make you better at sending invites for the next party you host.
