Answered Conundrum Next Conundrum
When you correct someone do you think you should just use a one word critique or should you say it in a non embarrassing manner?
an example would be, if you see a typo. Should you make a huge production about it or just realize that a human wrote the sentence? I see typos on here and in blogs a lot, but have never felt compelled to blast anyone for it, have you?

No, we are all guilty of these typos, in our speech and written communication. I would "jokingly" point out incorrect grammar to a friend, but I wouldn't comment, just for the sake of correcting them. In fact, you'll probably find a feww typoss in mi answers two...lol
Unless you found that the typos lead to incorrect statements, or misquotes, I would let it go.

@ritrzblok stated it perfectly.
I am a stickler for good grammar and punctuation. I even go over answers that I've posted to reread them and make sure there aren't any typos, before the chance to update is over.
Typos are just typing errors. We all do them. I have been a proof reader in the past and know I am better at proofing someone else's work than my own in some cases.
You never know if the person typing his or her answer had a burst of creativity in the middle of the night when we all know spelling tends to drop significantly.
I would only point out the correction if it was a humorous one so we could all laugh a little!

As a non Native English speaker, I am hardly an expert about English grammar and typo. I'm sure that my English grammar and spelling are far from perfect. Of course, I cannot judge anyone who makes the same mistakes that I do. If I have to point out mistakes, I’ll do it discreetly and as non offensive as possible.
However, I am an active participant in fandoms. I read and write fanfictions, but I try to get a beta-reader (editor) to check my work. If I read a fic where the grammar and spellings are terrible, I sometimes used to comment to ask them to get a beta reader. But most of them took offense even though I was polite. So now I just stop reading when I found fics or any writings with terrible grammar / spelling.
