Why are we more concerned with celebrities than the politicians that screw up our lives?
All I ever seem to hear about on the radio, on front page news, or on covers of magazines (even TV shows) is about celebrities. But rarely is there anything on the politicians that are misusing your funds that you give them or are misrepresenting the voters that elected them. Why?

The reason why we are more concerned with celebrities is because our society is obsessed with the so called 'fantasy lives' of the rich and famous. Right now Tiger Woods is all over the news and meanwhile no one knows what's going on in the white house. When something bad happens to a celebrity they eagerly report it because their little perfect world is not that perfect any more.
I belief this is an American thing tough. I'm from Holland and in Europe the news is not like it is over here. We hear about wars, third world countries and politics in the US and Europe. Tiger Woods would only get mentioned one time and that's it. They wouldn't dedicated the entire news to him.
