Would you retire to a place far away from your family, if it was your dream retirement spot?
Would you move far away from your kids, grandkids, and other family if you really wanted to retire in a certain city or country, and had been dreaming about it throughout your working life?

Yes, I would definitely do that. Besides, about the only family I have left is my son and he doesn't consult me about what he does as far as a living and where he might want to live. He's even told me a couple times that he might get a job in a different state and I told him go for it. If I ever had the money to retire where ever I wanted to (which is Florida) I would do it in a split second.

No, family is very important to me. What could be more important than family? I have been blessed with a closely knitted family, long ago dreams have changed for me. I like to keep my love one within driving distance if possible.
