No. If it naturally comes up in conversation, it's appropriate to share what you know or think, but you do not need to justify your beliefs with anyone. If they don't believe, that should be ok too. Don't try to convert. You can each coexist and not agree.

Personal beliefs should never have to be justified. Be they based on your interpretation of facts, faith or trust, your beliefs are your own and if others wish to partake of them, great. If not, great as well.
When I expand upon one of my beliefs, if I get an interested reaction that is genuine, I continue with the subject on a deeper level. This is how one often finds a kindred spirit with one's ideas. When I get a reaction of incredulity, dismissiveness or lack of interest, I do not proceed with the topic. The way I see it, I am solid in the conviction of my beliefs, I do not need to get defensive about them. They stand up to my scrutiny, and that is what counts.
