Your puppy chews through the phone cord yet again, how do you tell the person that owns the cord that your puppy destroyed his stuff again?

The person is a bit cranky about the chewed up power cables so far. I dread telling him lol

I would confess straight-up, but I would do it with a new phone cord in hand. I would also come up with a plan to keep that dog from doing those things. Chewing not only destroys a house, but it can be very dangerous for the dog. Obviously chewing through an electric cord can result in a shock, and many things a dog will chew on can damage their teeth/mouth/throat/stomach.

Puppies need to be supervised or crated. It is generally a good idea to train dogs to follow you around the house, by clipping their leash to your belt until they just do it themselves. When a dog does something undesirable like chewing, have a soda can of pennies at hand and shake it near them. They'll come to associate chewing on your stuff with the scary sound. Give them a toy (a rope toy is good for chewers) that they can have. Dogs are capable of learning what is "their stuff" and what is "your stuff."

I think the person will be less annoyed if they see you are committed to ending the problem.

I think I'd just buy some extra power cables and replace them without telling this person that my puppy has been naughty again! Kinda sneaky, but it might keep the peace until puppy has been trained to know what he is allowed to chew on and what he isn't.
