Your son tells you that his bus driver yelled at a group of children on the bus to sit down and used a profanity to bring his point across.

Should/would you call the bus company and report this incident?

I sure would. This person is responsible to safely transport children to and from school. And even thought they are not a teacher or school employee, they are still expected to behave in an appropriate manner and act as an example.

I agree with you, and my son was sure upset over the incident and could not believe the guy had used a "bad" word, even though the outburst was not directed at him personally.

Yes I would call and report it, I do not swear in front of my children who are teens and neither should anyone else. The bus driver would loose the respect of the kids, and the parents as the word gets out.

No, he's trying to keep them safe. I would be inclined to use profanities to maintain order if I had to deal with a bunch of noisy kids every day, too.

Between yelling at a kid and having one go through the windshield, I think yelling at them is the lesser evil.
