I could not live without my plants.
My favorite place has always been in nature, so I bring nature into my home. They are a comfort thing for me. Most of my plants also produce something (ex/ avocado, apple, blackberry, mint, etc.) so they help my life by reducing my grocery bill. lol
Though I agree it is no secret plants filter the air and make our lives better that way.
My favorite plant in my house.. The queen of the night... in bloom

I am actually NOT a plant person. I think I could be -- someday lol. But right now I'm an animal person. Though I do know that plants are easier than animals, you can get the same satisfaction out of both. I think if I had a bigger house with a garden, I would definitely BE a plant person.

I'm not the kind of person to keep house plants -- they require far too much upkeep, and have a habit of either getting knocked over (like everything else on my desk) and/or making the rest of the room messy.
But plants outside -- definitely! Not having trees or some kind of vegetation in the outdoor environment just makes the place look desolate, in my opinion. This is, of course, partly due to the fact that I grew up in or near the suburbs, where there were plenty of trees, lawns, and the like -- as opposed to someplace like the desert. But nevertheless, it's a bit upsetting not to be able to see any plants from a window or the like.
