Do you actually take action on Facebook's "reconnect with this person" messages?

A while ago, Facebook told me to reconnect with my mom. Yeah.

I do seldom respond, unless it is someone I am sure I know and I am sure he/she is in Facebook with that particular profile name.

This is good from the point of view of safety, security and privacy.

Actually I do not, I barely see those messages and disregard them...I do not need Facebook to tell me who I need to connect to...hehe

Yes, If it is a friend I had not seen much action from for a while.I will write in their wall to see how they are. I know,I am corney.I listen when Facbook tells me to!!!

I think that is just a waste of space on facebook. I doubt anyone really even pays attention to it. It almost makes your friends seem lonely and have no one writing to them on facebook. It is more annoying that helpful.

At first I thought they were sweet but now they annoy me. Facebook needs to mind its own business.

Ok, so I'm joking...but only a little.

I think its silly that anyone would need a reminder to reconnect with peopl on facebook. Some of my facebook friends don't really sign on too often. I hardly engage with my closest frieneds on facebook, we talk on the phone. And the majority of my facebook friends are acquaintances that I have no interest in connecting with but I also don't want to offend them by rejecting their friend request.

I'm also not much of an exhibitionist so writing on someone's wall doesn't really appeal to me unless I'm responding to a thread.
