The simple answer is yes.
If you resort to manipulation (withholding affection, threatening to leave them, etc.) you will damage, or possibly end, the relationship. Discussing your concerns about their safety and the practicality of motorcycle ownership are fair game. Motorcycles may be fun, but fatality rates are significantly higher in accidents, and they're far from fun in wet weather. They can be an expensive toy to maintain as well.
If they chose to get a motorcycle anyways, buy some safety gear as a gift. It shows you care without smothering their individuality.

Like any large purchase I would give him the benefit of the doubt. Justification. Why does he want a motorcycle? "I want one" in my opinion isn't enough, it counts but with the price of bikes... My husband actually does what an motorcycle when we have the money to afford one. He feels in the summer it would be better on gas and cost less in insurance.. good reasoning.
I do support his decision once we can afford it. Things like a bigger house come first.

I've always liked motorcycles, so my answer would be yes. They're fun to ride, fuel-efficient, stylish, and can get you anywhere a regular car can in terms of being a mode of transportation.
Riding motorcycles is definitely something that's a lot of fun that a couple can do together.

I would mind if my wife(when I get one) would get a motorcycle. As long as we have enough money for it, she always where her helmet, doesn't go riding with stranger or joins a gang, and as long as I can also get one and join her.

It's a good question. My BIL wanted a bike and I told him no! In the end, his brother bought him one! (groan) But it was with the provision that he have insurance and always wear his helmet, or Ryan said he'd take it away.
Now, my son wants one. That's an entirely different story. No. No way. Nuh uh. Nope. Never. Nien. Nichte.

If my 51 year old timid school teacher wife came to me and said she wanted a Harley, I would lose my mind jumping up and down for joy. I can't even imagine the fun we would have tooling out to Strugis or down to Daytona.
Thing is, both of my wife's parents were members of a Harley club in Chicago in the 1950's. They went to rodeos and rallys and races, back when it was just starting out, so we could easily mark it up, as Hank Williams would say, to family tradition. I might get a trike or something with a side car. We would have the time of our lives.
Check this out, love the soundtrack!!

I'll be honest, I would not be particularly supportive. Other than the obvious danger factor, I don't much care for the stereotype or the lifestyle. Fortunately, neither does she. However, if Juicy Couture or Michael Kors came out with something, then we might have a problem.
