Ofcourse not, silly, religion is no use to a person who has no balls or a spine, after all you will spend the rest of your life wrapped around your wifes little finger. Religion by itself is not big thing, but the very fact your wife wants to convert failing which she will not marry, should be a big sign from your god, who you will be forsaking shortly.

I think it will matter a great deal if you are not religious. Getting involved with a religion will mean you will be around people that believe religion is very important. This could put you in some very uncomfortable situations. Researching the internet of converting to the Jewish faith I saw that it is not recommended to convert just for the sake of getting married. You should truly want this for yourself.

It may matter if you don't have a religion when it comes to marrying your girlfriend. It may be required in order for her to marry you. This is a matter of her religion and what sect she is a member of. Another thing to consider is if you believe in Jesus Christ. If you do you will not be able to convert to Judaism.
