My wife is often meeting with an old friend. Should I worry?

Not too long ago, my wife and I moved back to the city both of us grew up in. Since we moved back, she met up a friend from before we met. I know there wasn't a sexual relationship between the two back then, and now they meet for a weekly lunch on friday, and an occasional evening out (pub, movies). Should I be worried about this?

Unless you have other reasons to doubt your wife, I wouldn't worry. It sounds like she has just rekindled a friendship and is being open with you about it. I don't see anything wrong with friends having some time alone together, but maybe you could suggest that this friend be invited over for dinner every now and then. If you get to know him (?) a little better, and get to see them interact, it could make you feel better and clear things up a little.

So long as there openness and honesty, I don't see any reason to be concerned. If you begin to suspect secrets, money is suddenly disappearing from your joint account at high rates, or anything like that, then it's time to worry. Right now, I would let it go.

In general, it is not common that a married woman arranges often appointments with a friend of the opposite sex. She herself must know that. I believe that you must speak directly with her and tell her that it is not a common practice and you do not like the situation. Of her reaction would depend if you must worry or not. I repeat, you should speak directly with her about the matter and solve it at once.

Excuse me for my bad english but I am spanish speaker.
