I loved this! On Mahalo's home page. Doesn't matter that it was a techno-proposal, it was wonderful and perfect for the couple.

Super Mario Proposal - Added by joyannj
YouTube user Bradsmith182 proposed to his girlfriend Lisa by spelling out "Lisa... will you marry me?" in the Super Mario game she was playing. As Lisa's "Mario" character ran across the screen, the coins spelled out the message. After reading the message, created with a program called "lunar magic", Lisa turned and her boyfriend was on his knee with a ring. She said yes. The proposal was secretly recorded.http://www.youtube.com/user/bradsmith1821

I don't know if I saw it in a movie or TV show, or read it in a book, or have created it in my mind from bits and pieces, but I picture the best marriage proposal being voiced after a ride in a horse-drawn carriage through beautiful scenery and ending at the top of a hill at sunset.
In the middle of all that gorgeous color, comments made can be such as "You make my life so colorful and happy, and I'd like you to share the colors of our lives forever. Will you marry me?"

It's the one I saw in PBA (Philippine Basketball Assoc.) years back when a popular basketball athlete (Vince Hizon) proposes to her girlfriend during the halftime break while his girlfriend is reporting about the game stats. It happened that his girl is a court-side reporter. ^^
Aww... too bad I can't find a video of it. :( But you can search it if you want to. :) It's the sweetest proposal I could remember. ^^

I was at a Blink 182 concert this past summer in Milwaukee and the guy right next to us got down on one knee during the romantic love song "Always" and proposed to his girlfriend. I think that would be the most meaningful proposal, to me at least, because Blink is my all-time favorite band. I thought it was so adorable, it actually gave me chills. I hope my boyfriend does something like that if he proposes!

The best proposal I have seen was at a concert for Tech N9ne and Kottonmouth Kings...Very loud...scary and lots of pot...One guy must of talked to the band before hand, but on their stage this band, that is legalized for marijuana, spelled out "Marry Me Keri" with joints on their backdrop and the lead singer walked around and lit them all up and then the guy came out, she accepted it was VERY different, kind of a cool concept.

A friend of mine got engaged during a set by the String Fingers Band at My Place Restaurant in Newtown, CT. Her boyfriend proposed during the song "In Your Company," written by Dan Tressler, which is an absolutely beautiful love song and includes the lyrics "What about that golden ring? The one that you deserve..." He got down on one knee with the ring at that line, and the band stopped playing mid-song to await for her answer. The video is very sweet!!! :)
