My worst was my first Valentine's Day with my husband. I should have known right then something about him was wrong. We were short on money, and he was worried about Valentine's Day, but I told him not to worry about it, I didn't need a GIFT. I gave him my last $5 thinking he would at least buy me a card. On the way home, he asked me to stop at the local shopping center. There was a card shop there, and a deli right next to it. I watched him as he took my money, walked into the deli, and got french fries and a coke for himself. We separated the next year right before Valentine's, and he asked if he could see me on Valentine's Day. I waited all day for him. He never showed, and he was killed 4 days later. I found out after he died that he had spent Valentine's Day with some other woman at the beach. I've hated Valentine's Day ever since then, and refuse to celebrate it, even when I'm with someone.

My worst Valentine's Day memory, was in February 14, 2008, when I ordered a bunch of flowers for my spouse. I thought all the fine details were already ironed out such as the date, time and delivery address, and suddenly the day of reckoning arrives, no flower was delivered to my loving wife. I checked on the flower shop, and to my amazement it was delivered to the wrong address.

My worst Valentines Day was in the 7th grade. I had planned on taking this girl to a movie but did something and got grounded. I found out in school on Monday she went with someone else.

My worst Valentine's Day is probably...this one. I've recently been becoming quite close with this guy who's still in love with his ex. We've been dating, but she told him a week or two ago that she still has hope for the two. It was hard, but I ended it- I can't just wait around to be left, being a consolation prize in the meantime. Bad thing is I'd already spent money buying things for the picnic I wanted to surprise him with.

Well, at least Hollywood is catering to the more unfortunate souls this Valentine's Day with the release of Wolfman. Right now: Gore abounds > sappy love stories.
