No it is not. Quite the opposite in fact. What you should do if a customer is making lewd comments of any kind is contact the manager on duty and inform them of what the customer is doing. The manager will then be able to handle the situation as he/she has been trained to do. Never should an associate or any employee that is not management confront a customer. Managers have been trained for customer confrontations and they know how to handle it. Besides, the store and the well-being of the employees is the manager's responsibility anyway.

It is never good customer service to agree with sexually lewd comments. The best response would be to inform the customer that you do not appreciate the comments and ask them to refrain from do so further.
Customer service is suppose to be supportive of the company by offering a service to that companies customers. That doesn't include agreeing with negative, rude or lewd remarks from those customers. Many times we too often misunderstand the old saying, "the customer is always right". Their being right doesn't mean and doesn't imply they have a "right" to be disrespectful to staff members.

Before I agree or disagree with a customer, I'll first see what kind of customer is he? nickel and dime or bigtime customer, since it is about business. If he is a nickel and dime customer I just kick him out of the shop for making lewd comment about our female staff. But if he is a bigtime customer i consider it a joke. and give him a good customer service.
