Conundrum Next Conundrum
You are out dancing with your husband at a nightclub, when a young, attractive male walks up to your husband and asks him to dance.
How do you respond? Would you feel uncomfortable, upset (since you are standing right next to him), or would you consider the incident funny?

Good question.
If it's a singles club then I shouldn't be surprised or object too strongly unless in a humorous tone. It wouldn't be fair to let the man asking think he's available but if no one is too drunk the attention can be fun and flattering for everyone.
The same should be said of any gender asking any other though.
If getting hit on at a club is a problem for a married couple, there may be other clubs that cater to couples you could go to instead.
If I was in another country I'd be more wary as local customs or crimes may influence the best course of action in that situation.

It sounds like your upset that the guy didnt approach you. In this ever changing world expect the unexpected. The good thing is your husband is attractive enough to get young males to approach him. Did he get upset? If a young woman came up to you and asked you to dance what would you do? Would your husband let you fend for yourself or would he come to your rescue? Have you and your husband made a plan on how to deal with this in the future? Your at a nightclub having fun remember at the end of the night you get to go home with the best man in the place and he gets to be with you.

I would find it kind of funny, and probably give my husband a (jokingly) hard time about it later. I think it's difficult for people to approach strangers and put their pride on the line like that, so I would let the other guy know that my husband was spoken for in a friendly way. I would assume my husband would take it as a compliment, and I might even be a little proud that I was with a guy other people in the room wished they could steal away.
It's easy to take advances too seriously, but unless they come from someone who knows the person is taken, I think everyone's pride needs to be carefully protected while the situation is casually diffused.
