Ask me about a conundrum
I prefer fruity/spicy white wines like Johannesburg Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Dessert Muscat, Semillon, and fruity Pinot Gris. I avoid Chardonnay and Chablis. Pinot Grigio, Pouilly Fuse, and even the occasional Sauvignon Blanc will catch my attention favorably when paired with the right foods. While I adore red and blush wines, I suffer migraines, so I avoid them.
It seems my favorite wines these days still come from Washington State (Yakima Valley) and Oregon (Willamette Valley), but I'm always game to try French, Italian, Spanish, Australian, South American, and South African wines. In addition, I've recently discovered Asian plum wines and would like to continue my exploration of them!
