Would you a $1.25 million car if you could afford to do so? Why or why not?

In Texas, a man drove his $1.25 million Bugatti into a marsh after being distracted by a bird. The car may not be salvagable. Would you ever consider spending such a great amount of money on a car, even if you had hundreds of millions of dollars?

Absolutely not! Do you realize how many hungry mouths that much money would feed while I could drive around in still a very nice, but much less expensive, vehicle? It is insane how people feel so special driving around in insanely expensive vehicles or live in huge houses they probably get lost in, when most people (like me) see these people and look to the ground and shake our heads at the ignorance of it all. Drive a Camry or Cadillac, still feel special, and give the rest of that money to someone who needs it. Rich or poor has nothing to do with what kind of person you are, so just because you are rich doesn't mean you deserve it and just because you are poor doesn't mean you deserve it.

If I have millions of dollars in my account then why not? I'm a car fanatic that's why I'm willing to spend money (if I have more of them) on sports cars.

This question depends on the person you're asking. As for me, I love cars, so I'd buy a car no matter how much it cost as long as I like it and as long as I'm as rich as Oprah. But if you're not really into cars, then I doubt you'd spend this much on such luxuries.

But I won't be as reckless as that person on the news, more especially if I have such expensive car. lol If you really love your car, you won't even let fingerprints all over it even if it isn't as pricey as Bugatti.

I personally wouldn't. It's a car, it's supposed to get you from one point to the other, maybe look nice, and that's about it. I won't shell out $1.25 million for a Bugatti if a Toyota looks nice and works the same. But I'm also a pretty thrifty person to begin with, and I've thought a lot about how winning a million dollar lottery would pay for all my bills and expenses for the rest of my life. So I don't see the point in throwing money away on extravagent stuff if I could keep living as a middle class citizen, but without worries and having to work!

If I could afford a $1.25 million automobile, I would not hesitate to purchase one. Personally I see nothing wrong in owning a vehicle that is worth 50% to 75% of your average yearly salary. Anything below that, it may affect your image with clients, etc. Anything above that and you place yourself in a situation were you are perhaps deviating more money from other important things just to satisfy a luxury.

So by my definition, if I had a yearly salary of $1.75 -$2.5 million or higher, I would definitely buy such a car, otherwise, nope.

If I could afford a $1.25 million dollar automobile I will not purchase one. I'd rather purchase a car less than the said amount that is environment friendly and can save energy. In this way I will be able to save and care for our Mother Earth. And the rest of the money I am going to donate to a charity or foundation for homeless children.

I think the best way to be able to help others is to live simply and buying a very expensive car is not one of them.
