It would be great if you could post a video. My favorite is Cheap Trick doing an old Elvis standard "Don't be Cruel", although Pat Boone's heavy metal covers crack me up.

Hands down, my favorite is Melissa Etheridge covering Tom Petty's "Refugee". It's like he wrote the song for her voice. :D

I like Harry Nilsson's - Without You.
This was a cover of the original track written by Badfinger.
Play the two and contrast them, you'll see there is little comparison!
I love the way Nilsson arranged a whole orchestra around his version.
