Conundrum Next Conundrum
Do you eat more or less in a day if you have breakfast?
Study after study suggests that people eat less when they have breakfast. However, I know I eat less. Eating is a habit for me. If I don't start early in the day, I eat 1/2 as much. What about you?

I think really that everybody is quite different and those studies can't be trusted.
My husband and I never have breakfast. We may have elevenses if time permits, other than that it's lunch and dinner. We both just can't eat anything early in the day.
For elevenses we'd love to have a proper English breakfast or a Spanish elevenses which is quite similar. Since both can be very much quantity of food, we generally skip lunch and have early dinner.
The one thing I mustn't do is eating a little bit again and again. That really makes me hungry and makes me eat more. I just want 2 good square meals per day and that's enough then, no more snacks needed.
Everybody is different and there is no norm. One should really listen to the inner voice and eat and drink when hungry and not because of a certain time.

I never eat breakfast. The strange thing is I can eat breakfast foods at dinner time. I think it stems back from when I was pregnant with my son 20 years ago. I felt so sick every morning. I guess not eating until mid afternoon became a habit. I am just not hungry when I wake up. I atleast have two wait two hours. once I am fully awake and alert, I eventually get hungry and eat.
Maybe the studies are right, but I do not see the purpose in eating when I am not hungry. I have always struggled with my weight. The past 4 years or so I have been working full time from home on the computer. That means less time cleaning house and being physical. So, my problem is worse.
Perhaps eating breakfast would help, who knows. I just know I am not hungry and I never want to just put food in my mouth because it is a certain time of day. With my luck, I would just end up gaining more weight.
I have heard that several meals a day is better than 2 or 3 big ones. Maybe this saying or study has something to do with that.
