I am not Irish, as far as I know, but I think it can be fun for anyone who chooses to celebrate in one way or another. Also, I don't think I've ever heard an Irish person say that others shouldn't celebrate, so I assume it's okay with most of them when others want to join in the events of the day.
I don't celebrate, but sometimes I will find St. Patrick's Day jokes online and send them to an elderly friend of mine. She plays cards with an Irish friend of hers, and they enjoy a laugh or two when I send something funny for their enjoyment.
Now if only I could dance like this:

Fun!

You don't have to be no. The actual meaning behind saint patrick's day did always make me laugh though.. the Irish are celebrating the death of a man who supposedly drove the heathen faith from the island. He destroyed true irish culture. I enjoy celebrating his death with too much booze and a big bowl of corned beef. I'm actually scotch irish norwegian though...those vikings.. they made quite the melting pot.
