Conundrum Next Conundrum

I have stopped my sons trip with the school, they are keeping the £50 dep of which i understand, but want a further £55 canc fee do i pay ?

The letter stating the original trip has no cancellation fees stated. I cancelled my sons trip due to his bad behaviour of which the school are aware.

No, you absolutely shouldn't pay the fee.

If you're sure you were NEVER informed of this before you originally booked his place on the trip, either in writing or verbally, then you have no obligation to pay the fee.

No, I can't agree you should pay the additional fee.

It was up to the school to reveal to you that a cancellation fee would apply in the event of a cancellation.

They never did this and therefore there is nothing in law they can do to progress the claim, therefore don't pay.
