I would want to go to an adopted family. Most of the time, infants, especially newborns, are adopted quickly, especially if the birth mother knows before giving birth that she is not keeping the infant. If the birth mom does not want to keep me, I would assume that there is a reason behind that - lack of money, maturity, the understanding that someone else might be able to provide a more loving home. Keeping a baby you don't want sets up a family situation fraught with resentment (be it conscious or unconscious) and unhappiness. I would much rather end up with adoptive parents who are quite clear on how much they want a child.

It would depend on how the mother behaved after the fact. Even if she didn't initially want to keep me, if she was responsible and took care of me in a loving manner, I'd prefer to stay with her since the adoption process is often very long and complicated. There's no rule saying that just because a mother didn't initially want a child that she's incapable of loving or looking after them properly.
However, if she took out her frustration on having to raise a child she didn't want by means of abuse or neglect, I think it goes without saying that I'd prefer to go to an adoptive family.
