Answered Conundrum Next Conundrum
Is it a good thing for a child to be scared of eating candy?
A relation of mine has instilled into their child not too eat candy because if you do, "Your teeth will fall out".
This child is a happy youngster going about life but won't touch candy because of what his mother says.
Did the Mother do a good thing or is this a bit cruel, or maybe cruel to be kind?
What do you think?

No that is not right.
When a child comes to the earth then it has no knowledge, no virtue and no evilness. He starts learning just after born, in childhood period he forms mind. But when it began to form his mind he start gaining knowledge about lie and other evilness. So his mind also formed with some black parts. Science proved it by surveying background of criminals and terrorists. But I am not saying same to all. But I am sorry that I can not give here any English source.
All of we know that science also proved that child's mind are so so sensitive, when you will say anything he will record it and will follow it. So when a mother will give a wrong information about anything he will accept it.But If it a matter of fear then it will be harmful for this child.Because science saying that believe of any fear is a black part of child's mind, I mean this child's mind consists a black/block part. And so any fear will harm a child's grown up. Any type of fear is a matter of harm of child's grown up.
Now telling about real, a child has a great respect to his mother and when it is childhood he don't know about what is "trueness" or "lieness" but when he will discover that his mother's words wasn't right then he will learn that what is "lieness" please note I am not saying that this is only way to learn "lieness" this is just a example. So I think an wise mother shouldn't do that.Because which is once accepted child's memory that never will be remove. So please do a think before forbid or advice to a child because, they will not justify your speech, will directly believe your words not like a teenage boy or adult person.
There has another some benefit to say true the child will learn about goodness and badness of same thing or working, I mean he will can realize a label of goodness and badness. He will also get a opportunity to justify himself that is when he will eat 2/3 chocolate then if you offer another one, may he say "yes" or may be "no" if he say "yes" then it awesome because he start to control his mind......
I am sorry that I am not sure that could I make clear my words or not.
Here is a article about effect of fear but this is not my source. Effect of fear

What the mother did was, in my opinion, wrong. She instilled unnecessary fear in the child and lied to him to boot. When he finds out that your teeth won't fall out automatically from eating candy, he's going to realize this was a lie, and may start doubting other things she has said.
It would have been better for her to tell the child the truth. "A little candy now and then is Okay, but too much can make you feel sick, gain weight, and start rotting your teeth."
I believe that if you raise children with the truth, and allow them to think for themselves, they will usually make the right choices.

A parent should never lie to a child, period. There are ways to tell the truth in any circumstance that a child will accept and understand.
It is a parent's responsibility to teach honesty. By lying to a child to instill fear, or for any other reason, you are teaching a child that it's acceptable to lie.
There is no such thing as a "white lie" or a "good lie". Lies are wrong, especially when used to instill fear in a child. Children have enough to be afraid of in the world today without being afraid of candy.
