When you take upon the role of being a parent your priorities have to change. Your job is now to nurture, love and protect this child with the goal of producing a successful, responsible, independent, moral and stable adult. If you are doing things that could take yourself out of their lives they are not your number one priority

Putting your life is harm's way is not responsible parenting.
