If your neighbor won't keep their dog in the yard how should you handle it?

Every couple of hours it comes up on my porch. I've taken it home several times and told them that it keeps getting out, but they haven't fixed the problem. I'm afraid the little thing will be ran over by a car. Should I report them to animal control? Keep the dog and see if they come looking for it? ;) Or what?

Why not tie it up on your porch, with a bowl of water and a bit of food. See how long it takes them to come over. You could actually make it look like the dog lives on your porch. See if they want to keep him or are they happy for you to adopt him? See what happens :) They might get the hint but I doubt it, they might say OK and there you have your own pooch....who seems to like you anyway !

If you didn't want it, I still say tie it at your place, when they come to collect it say its the last time before you call animal control and is there maybe some way you could help them keep it locked up....

good luck!

I would call animal control to deal with the dog. It clearly does not want to stay at home and they clearly do not care much for the dog. If you don't want to go that route, find a new home for the dog.
