Conundrum Next Conundrum
What time should a donkey go to bed?
I have a donkey but he sleeps all day, i think i might be riding him around the farm to late at night. HE usually gets to bed at 3 in the morning, but im not sure. Can someone please help me out? =)

You don't need to worry about him being late for school in the morning, so probably he can go to bed whenever he wants. I've heard that donkeys are often used to protect other livestock from wild dogs, so if that's the case you probably want him awake during the day. You could try to stop riding him earlier so that he can go to sleep earlier, but unless you want him awake or asleep at a particular time it shouldn't matter.
Try to keep track of how long he sleeps, and if it looks too irregular you should ask a vet about it.

Depending on where you live, he might be sleeping during the day due to high temperatures, when he would want to be less active.
Horses don't need much sleep, only about 4 hours a day, I think. I dont' know if donkey's sleep requirements are the same but if you and he are active at night, it only makes sense that he'd sleep during the day. That's what I'd do if someone was riding me all night.... :)
