My family shops all year...really. They buy things on sale that would be great for so and so and then put it away until Christmas or if they need a birthday gift.

I'm happy if I get the gifts wrapped and under the tree by Christmas Eve. Before my daughter, I was one of those out shopping the week of Christmas. Now I try to get out a little sooner, around the first or second week of December.

I know people that get tons of stuff after Christmas for the following holiday. May seem crazy but there are lots of great deals and saved money for those that start early. It's quite admirable really.

As early as possible. Maybe by October - November? During these times, prices are in it's normal state. Some manufacturers raise their prices when Christmas rush begins. The earlier, the better. ^^

To make things faster too, you must have fixed your budget earlier too and the things you have to buy as well so that you don't have to think of it when Christmas is just around the corner.

Happy shopping! ^^

I usually like to start in September.

This is p-l-e-n-t-y of time to start collecting ideas and quizzing people without raising suspicions. This is plenty of time to wait and wait and wait for sales. To wait for free shipping.

If I have my way, I'd like to be done by December 1. I have enough to worry about with Christmas (including wrapping, dinner, family, etc.), that I don't need to aggravation of pressured shopping and parking!

When's the best time? Probably January. The shops are full of things and are desparate for you to buy them, often throwing huge discounts in your direction and having sales on everything....

.... But I'm just not that organized, and so I'll normally start thinking about it in september, working out what sort of things people may like and getting some bits and bobs here and there.

The earlier the better really but theres no way I want to be getting into december 20s without things being done.
