Has the cost of gas influenced your holiday travel plans?

the Auto Association of America says 3.8% more people in 2009 than in 2008 are making long car trips this Christmas, despite gas being $1 more expensive this year.

Not at all. In fact, I find gas as an expense to be only a small part of the actual cost of ownership. You've already spent tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars on the car (or at least hundreds or thousands a month on the lease), so why not go ahead and drive?

Gas prices have gone down from the highs but still it impacts significantly.
