Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood?

I can't decide which American Idol winner I like better. Help me out.
Which is better in your opinion, please justify.

It really depends on what type of music you're into. If you're more into country, then Carrie is a best choice. If you into pop-rock, then Kelly is a good pick.

The truth is, both are talented singers and performer. Kelly has sold millions of albums world-wide while Carrie has won awards here and there for country music. If we'll talk about record sales, Kelly wins. But if we'll talk about the number of awards received, Carrie wins. I think it's a win-win between them.

So there, in my opinion, both are equally great artist. :D Probably the best American Idol ever! :)

This is hard as I like them both! If I had my choice though I would be Carrie Underwood! I was traveling with my husband when American Idol first started so I missed out on the first couple seasons. I was able to watch her season from the very beginning and even voted for her up to the very end! In her first year or two she passed Kelly in sales and just took the world by storm! Gooo Carrie

Carrie Underwood is the best. She has won almost every County Music Award she has ever been nominated for. She has a really big heart she went to Africa to help had out mosquito nets to protect children from dying, and she went to Iraq to sing for our troops. She has a powerhouse of a voice, I don't think I've ever heard anyone hit the notes she can. She has a sweet personality and she doesn't act like it has gone to her head. Every song she sings relates somehow to our lives one way or another and her #1 songs and albums prove she is the best.

I like Kelly Clarkson's music better, I'm not a country fan. I remember watching the intro of the American Idol with Carrie though and thinking as soon as they showed her clip, before she was even chosen to be on American Idol, that she had an amazing talent.

They both seem like good girls though and are far more talented then a lot of the performers that are out there. They also seem like everyday people, despite all of their overnight fame. It has to be difficult to adapt to such a quick change of lifestyle and they both seem to have handled it very well.

But, as far as the music, I personally prefer Kelly Clarkson. Otherwise, they're both equally talented.
