I would say it all depends on the kind of business you are in. If you are providing a service, I would say contract. If you are selling items or plan on having a call center, I would say employee. Then comes the question of you having benefits, vacations, etc. At this point in the economy I'm sure that employees would work harder to try and grow your business and keep their job

It all depends on the position the employee has and the type of business. In construction I have a few core employees and the rest I pick up as the job requires. In Real Estate all employees are contract workers as the Supers but can be let go at any time.

I have two people that work for me. They are contract workers. Due to the nature of the job and the labor laws in my country, it is the best option for me.
